| The following pictures were taken in the Kitchen | |

This is a very pleasant Kitchen. It is open, bright, has a wonderful view outside, and is easy to work in. |

This 11 foot dome is above the entire Kitchen. This was built by craftsmen from Guadalajara. They built the Kitchen dome as well as the dome over the Master Bedroom. Their workmanship is excellent. 110 volt rope lights were purchased from Arizona Commercial Lighting in Tucson which line the lower dome ledge. At night the entire dome glows a beautiful warm gold color. |

All of the woodwork is Colombian Cedar. The end of the counter has a book shelf for displaying books or other items. There is power on the left side for both 110 volts as well as 220 volts. These receptacles were installed to power equipment used on the counter top above. |
![]() |
All of the drawers are open and they are are on tracks. It's easy to see what you need and it's easy to get it in a hurry. No more kneeling down on the floor! |

This is a Jenn-Air Gas Range. The owner installed this because of its "down vent". He said he has built other homes with ranges that have retractable vents but felt this range looked smart and fit the kitchen perfectly. We agree with him. The range is full featured including convection. It also displays Spanish as an option. |

There is a double Lazy Susan installed in the corners to the left and right of the sink area. These rotating shelves are very large with 20 inches (diameter) of storage. |
![]() |
This is a double Kohler cast iron sink with a heavy duty Garbage Disposal installed on the left side. All electrical receptacles in this home that are near sinks, vanities, and other areas that have water present are "Ground Fault" protected. If electricity comes into contact with water then the receptacle is automatically disengaged protecting people from being electrocuted. It is very rare to see this sort of protection in Alamos homes.
|

On the right side of the sink there is a double faucet that dispenses purified bottled water. This water is automatically pumped from the Panty next to the Kitchen. The purified water faucet has two valves, one for normal drinking water and the other for instant hot water. By automatically pumping bottled water to the Kitchen, the need for unsightly water bottles and dispenser stands is eliminated. The main advantage is this faucet frees up valuable counter space which is necessary for the day to day preparation of food items. |

This is a full featured Whirlpool dishwasher. Most people in this area don't use dishwashers as they have their housekeepers do the dishes by hand. The owner believes a high temp dishwasher does a better job and is an excellent place to store dirty dishes. According to the owner, "Without a dish washer you need to leave the dirty dishes sitting in the sink and on the counters until the housekeeper arrives in the AM. It's nice to have folks do just about everything for you but I like being independent and a dishwasher gives me flexibility". |

This is a GE refrigerator. This unit delivers cubed and crushed ice as well as cold water. Along with the sink dispenser, the water is pumped from purified water bottles stored in the Pantry next door. The Kitchen has track lighting overhead on two walls and over the counter sitting area. At this time there are six 75 watt fixtures which provide more than adequate lighting. |

The owner decided to have the back counter upper shelving open and functional. He likes it because "It gives the kitchen an informal look and provides a pleasing display of various platters and other collectibles on the upper shelf." If enclosed upper cabinets are preferred then it would take no more than a phone call and two weeks time to have them made to match. |

The 6" counter tiles match the floor tile. |

This is the accent tile which wraps around the entire Kitchen area. |
![]() |
This peninsula was designed with a seating area opposite the cooking area. It seems that guests enjoy hanging around the kitchen when food is being prepared. This seating gives your visitors a place to sit and at the same time gets them out of your way while preparing food. All of the tile on the floors was made by Interceramic. The tile used is their Creek Stone Terracota. It is 20" square. |

This is a good place for storage of glasses and other items which are used for special occasions. This shelving expands underneath the entire 11 1/2' length of the counter. Also, all of the shelves are adjustable. |
![]() |
There are three windows in the kitchen. The larger center section is stationary while the left and right windows slide to the center. The kitchen windows provide a lot of fresh air and a wonderful view to the easterly mountain range. |

| This is the Living Room or "Salon" | |
![]() |
This is looking to the Entry Courtyard through the two glass doors. The paint in the Salon is a light brown faux. The door to the left, just beyond the lamp, goes into the Pantry. The Pantry has an interior door that goes into the Office. |
![]() |
This wall is to the right when you enter the Salon. Most of the lamps in the home were purchased from Seattle Lighting, or Arizona Commercial Lighting. The owner said "I suppose I could have bought lighting from Home Depot but I feel there is nothing nicer than the original. I think you will agree with me." |
![]() |
This is the wall area immediately to the left when you enter the Salon. The door goes into the Guest Bathroom and into the Guest Suite. |
![]() |
This is looking forward from the entry doorway. Once again, the door in the foreground goes into the Guest Bathroom and the other door in the background goes into the Master Bedroom Suite. |
![]() |
We will look at the Salon in a counterclockwise direction starting with this picture.
|
![]() |
The Salon has 6 sets of double glass doors and 10 fixed windows. The 12 glass doors were designed to open onto the fixed windows allowing for the most view possible.

|
This is the Dining Area which is directly in front of the Kitchen. You can also use the Kitchen counter area in the picture above for less formal dining. Normally, in Mexico, everyone prefers to enjoy their meals outside under the covered Portals.

Looking from the front right corner of the Salon to the Fireplace. |
![]() |
The Fireplace bricks were cut from a local Ledge Stone. It is of the same material as used in the Water Fall in the Entry Courtyard. |
![]() |
The Fireplace has wood storage underneath which is accessed from both the left and right sides. There is an electrical receptacle installed along the left side of the fireplace just above the mantel. This was installed to power Christmas lights placed on the mantel. There are also electrical receptacles installed in the wood storage area underneath both on the left and right sides.

To the right is one of the two rear speakers used in the Home Theatre System. |
![]() |
This picture was taken from the left front corner of the Salon. You are looking back to the Entryway to the left and the Entertainment Area in the center. There is a fan over the seating area for your summer comfort. If you live in Alamos full time you will find it is not necessary to use the Air Conditioners in the Salon of this home. In the AM hours there is a breeze which comes from the east and in the PM hours the breeze reverses and comes from the west. You would merely open the left and right Salon doors and enjoy a breeze the entire day. This is a luxury afforded this home because it is fully exposed to the east and west. |
![]() |
The speaker above the Mini-Split Air Conditioning unit is the right, side speaker for the Home Entertainment System. The Mini-Split Air Conditioning unit is made by Mirage and is rated @ 2 tons. There are 3 2 ton units in the Salon which produce both Air Conditioning as well as Heat. There is also air conditioning/heating units in the Master Bedroom, the Guest Bedroom, and the Office. There are 4 pull down Mylar Blinds above the doors and windows in this area which are used in the summer months to keep the harsh sun off the leather couch and rugs. |
![]() |
Because of the expanse and openness of the Salon the builder used steel beams overhead. The beams were painted to replicate wood complete with grain, knots, etc. |

|

The shelving above is adjustable to suit your equipment height requirements. The three drawers below accommodate CD's and Videos. The wiring of the components is done from the rear. There is a removable panel in the Master Bedroom closet that gives access to component wiring. |
